Emploees of the Year Honoured at the Company‘s Christmas Party
"Our traditional poll has two stages. At first, heads of divisions and plants nominate the best and most worthy candidates to be named Employees of the Year. On the second stage, all employees of the company vote for their candidates. This year, 1217 opinions were expressed out of 1436 possible. This represents around 90% of Achema community" - commented Gitenis Subačius, Human Resource and Common Affair Director.
Vanda Januškevičienė, laboratory assistant - controller at the Environment Protection Centre won the Worker of the Year award. She has been working at the company for 40 years.
Ihar Saukiu, deputy head of ammonia plant No. 1, was named the Specialist of the Year for his valuable efforts in this year's ammonia plant modernization and reconstruction.
Egidijus Juzėnas, chief mechanic of the company, was selected as the Manager of the Year for the flawless maintenance operations of ammonia plants during summer turnaround period. Repair operations have to be done quickly for the plants to successfully launch again; and this, probably, was the de decisive factor to nominate Egidijus.
Nomination "Achemietė" of the Year was won by Pranė Dalia Rinkevičienė, production operator at ammonium nitrate plant. "I have been here for almost 41 years now. I'm settled, all these years I have spent at ammonium nitrate plant. To put it briefly about my job - we produce fertilizers" - she said smiling.
Award of "Achemietis" of the Year was won by automation engineer at the company's subsidiary Sistematika, Deividas Ceinorius, who received a large support from his colleagues.
All the winners received trips to Achema Group hotels in either Palanga, or Druskininkai.
Winners of the annual competition of the Best Idea for Rationalisation were awarded by Technical Director Juozas Tunaitis at the same Chistmas party. Nitric acid plant specialist team (head of the plant Ramūnas Pilsudskas, deputy head Andrius Kopustas, senior mechanic Kęstutis Ganusauskas and chief engineer - technologist Ramūnas Dambrauskas) came up with the modernization idea that allows increasing natural gas, ammonia and precious metal savings.
